John and Mary Lou's Family...
John was 5 when Mother died and he reacted with anger, refusal to obey and throwing things, to the point that Jim had to tie him to the garage to stop him from hurting himself and others. At school the Sisters did their best to keep him under control and protect other students from his attacks. It would be several years before he mellowed but even then he was often defied the older boys and Kathleen. When Denny left for the service Kathleen and John played a cat and mouse game on a daily basis. One of John games was sneaking gulps of orange juice that was meant to be served for breakfast. Paul made a metal "cap" that fit over the top of OJ bottles held in place with a strap that used a small lock and key. When Dad was not around, John continually made trouble for Kathleen and Paul, physically attacking Paul for no reason.
After HS graduation John I listed in the USAF and performed administrative duty in Newburgh NY where he met and married Mary Lou Toturro. John graduated from San Jose State and joined Lockheed Corp as a computer system analyst. John was involved in the development of a Hospital Information System that used CRT terminals and light pens at nursing stations. John also served on the team that developed a nationwide blood bank data base for the Red Cross. John and Mary Lou raised 3 children in Sunnyvale CA and then retired in North Carolina near their children.
